Those are the vendor's claims, not our measurement, so run your own brief on it next to another model before you commit.
Volume exploration at 4 credits. Only GPT Image at low quality (2 credits) is cheaper per image.
Where to use something else
Text inside the image. Google lists "Significantly enhanced text rendering" for Imagen 4, but on any model the safe route is to generate the plate with a visually quiet area and set the type in your editor, which is cheaper and gives exact control. If text must be inside the image, compare Imagen with Nano Banana Pro (21 credits) on your words, and read the result back from the image rather than trusting the prompt.
More references. Imagen on 8frame is text-to-image only. If you need to feed reference images, Seedream (up to 14) or Nano Banana (up to 10) take them.
Anything a customer verifies. Products, food, your premises, real people. Photograph those. A generated version misrepresents what exists.
How to use it
- Open a canvas, add an image node, pick the Imagen tier.

Prompting straight to video gives the model freedom over framing that you probably do not want. An Imagen 4 Fast still at 4 credits lets you settle subject, palette and composition, then image-to-video on Wan 3.0 at 24 credits keeps it. Twenty-eight credits per shot with a composition you actually approved.
Upscale the still first if it is soft, since that sharpening carries into every frame and there is no video upscaler to fix it afterwards.
