Correction, 2026-10-02: this page said Kling's app "gets Kling's newest features first" without a source, its FAQ called Kling's free plan "below 1080p" although Kling's own pages disagree on free-plan resolution, and it listed daily login credits as a free-plan feature, while Kling's credits policy describes them as an event offer. It also gave $6.99 as a plain monthly price: Kling's guide shows it as a first-subscription price that renews at $8.80. "Kling rewards concrete actions and camera moves" was stated as fact without a measurement and is now advice. The price table now shows which Kling models need a start image, including Kling O3, and the page now says that Kling v3 Pro is not available through 8frame's MCP connector.

On 8frame, Kling v3 Standard and Pro are image-to-video only: they need a start image and follow its shape. Text-only prompts go to Kling 2.6 Pro, and the steps now say so.
There are two practical ways to use Kling v3, Kuaishou's video model: Kling's own app at kling.ai, or a platform that runs it, such as the 8frame canvas. On Kling's app, the free plan is watermarked and not for commercial use, and Kling's own guide shows memberships from $6.99 a month as a first-subscription price, renewing at $8.80. On 8frame, Kling v3 Standard animates a start image (it does not take text alone there), costs 86 credits for 5 seconds with audio or 57 silent, runs 3 to 15 seconds, returns 720p, and sits on the same canvas as the other video and image models.
Correction, 2026-09-30: the first version of this page said Kling v3 on 8frame outputs native 4K at 30fps in about a minute (there is no 4K on 8frame, and we can't source the timing), gave Kling's free tier as 66 credits a day capped at 720p, described Kling's API and membership wallets and account rules we could not confirm, and quoted a model count. This version keeps what we can source.
Kling's own app
Kling runs at kling.ai; klingai.com redirects there. From Kling's own pages, checked 2026-10-02:
- Free plan: Kling's credit guide lists the Basic plan at "$0; free forever" with "No monthly Credits", and says its generated content "is not for commercial use". Kling's credits policy lists "Watermark removal" and "1080p videos" as premium-only functions (other Kling pages describe free-plan resolution differently, so check before relying on it).
- Daily login credits: the credits policy describes them as an event offer, with amounts "subject to platform announcement", so we don't quote a number.
- Memberships (credit guide dated 2026-07-28): Standard $6.99 a month for 660 credits, Pro $25.99 for 3,000, Premier $64.99 for 8,000, Ultra $127.99 for 26,000. These are first-subscription prices: the guide lists the next monthly renewal at $8.80, $32.56, $80.96 and $159.99, and also shows $10, $37, $92 and $180.
- Credit validity: membership credits are valid for one month; purchased credits for two years.
- Newer models and 4K: Kling announced Kling 4.0 on 2026-09-30 as entering early access, with a wider rollout in October, and its Pro, Premier and Ultra memberships list "priority access to new features". The credit guide also lists a native 4K mode for the VIDEO 3.0 series at 30 credits per second. 8frame does not run Kling 4.0, and no video model on 8frame outputs 4K.

The 8frame canvas route, step by step
Step 1: Open the canvas and pick Kling
Open 8frame and add a video node with the Kling tool. It opens on Kling v3 Standard, 5 seconds, sound on: 86 credits. Prices from 8frame's pricing code:

Kling O1 Reference, which builds a clip from up to 7 reference images, is 73 credits for 5 seconds and 146 for 10, with no sound setting. A credit is $0.01 at pack rate. Plans start at $19 a month for 1,000 credits, which roll over while you're subscribed. Both v3 tiers bill per second: 10 seconds with sound is 171 on Kling v3 Standard and 227 on Kling v3 Pro.
Step 2: Add a start image, which sets the shape
On 8frame, Kling v3 Standard and Pro need a start image; without one the request is refused. The clip follows the image's shape, so start from a vertical image for a vertical clip. There is no resolution setting, and Kling v3 Standard returns 720p. Kling O3 needs a start image too. For a text-only prompt, switch the model to Kling 2.6 Pro (95 credits for 5 seconds with sound, 47 silent), which makes 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 at 5 or 10 seconds.
Step 3: Write an action-first prompt
Describe what moves and how the camera moves, in concrete terms, instead of restating what the start image already shows. With a start image of a hand holding a phone: "Hand flips the phone, catches it, screen lights up, quick push in, bright kitchen morning light." Prompts can be up to 2,500 characters. Step 4: Draft, pick, promote
Draft variants silent on Kling v3 Standard (57) from your start image, or on Kling 2.6 Pro (47) from text, pick the winners, and rerun them with sound or on Kling v3 Pro (114 with sound). Kling v3 Pro needs a start image as well, so a text-only Kling 2.6 Pro draft has to begin from a still before it can move to Pro. Output is watermark-free, and commercial use is cleared on paid plans.
From Claude or another MCP client
