MiniMax's Hailuo H3 (listed as MiniMax-H3 by MiniMax and "MiniMax H3" by most resellers) is billed per second by resolution, and a 5-second clip at 2K costs between $0.65 and about $1.67 depending on the host. MiniMax's own API, fal and Replicate all charge $0.13 a second at 2K, $0.65 for 5 seconds; Runway's API charges 15 credits a second ($0.75, plus 2 credits for a start frame); Krea's Pro plan works out to about $0.85; and on 8frame the clip is 88 credits, about $0.88 at the top-up rate, $1.44 on the $49 Creator plan and $1.67 on the $19 Starter plan. The cheaper H3 Max Turbo tier runs from about $0.13 to $0.51 for 5 seconds at 768p. Every number is from the vendor's own page, checked 2026-10-21.
Resolution sets the price
Every host bills H3 per second of output, and the rate depends on resolution only. MiniMax lists MiniMax-H3 at "$0.08 / second" at 768P and "$0.13 / second" at 2K. fal's base H3 page lists "$0.05 per second at 480p, $0.06 per second at 768p, $0.13 per second at 2K and $0.16 per second at 4K", so fal's 768p is two cents under MiniMax's own. Replicate charges $0.08 at 768P and $0.13 at 2K. Runway's API lists hailuo3 at 10 credits a second at 768P and 15 at 2K.
Start frames and references cost extra on Runway. Runway adds "2 credits per reference image or keyframe (including an image-to-video start frame)" and bills a reference video "at the same per-second rate as output". The other pages we checked print no such surcharge.
Sound has no separate price. None of the pages we checked lists a separate audio price. On 8frame the H3 node has no sound setting, and every H3 file 8frame generated in the period we measured came with an audio track; listen before you rely on it.

- Krea: $35 / 41 = $0.85 and $21 / 41 = $0.51 per base H3 clip; $35 / 216 = $0.16 and $21 / 216 = $0.10 per Turbo clip.
- Magnific: 240,000 / 200 = 1,200 Turbo clips a year (the page prints 1,200); €12 x 12 = €144 / 1,200 = €0.12.

The Hailuo node opens on H3, 5 seconds, 2K, 16:9: 88 credits. The base H3 always renders 2K on 8frame; for a lower resolution, switch the node to H3 Max Turbo (768p by default). Both run 5 to 15 seconds, billed per second:

Text-to-video on H3 offers six aspect ratios (21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16); with a start image the clip follows the image. The same node also holds H3 Max Camera Controls, H3 Max Lip Sync and H3 Max Turbo Extend, each priced separately. On Starter ($19, 1,000 credits) that is eleven 5-second H3 clips at 2K a month or thirty-seven Turbo clips at 768p; on Creator ($49, 3,000 credits) thirty-four or a hundred and eleven. A failed generation is refunded automatically.
So the API route is cheaper per clip, and the reason to run H3 on 8frame is the board: a Turbo draft at 17 or 27 credits, the 2K take at 88 once the shot works, and a Kling v3 or Wan 3.0 version next to it from one balance.
